- ColorSync: How It Differs from Ofoto Calibration
-
- Article Created: 6 January 1993
-
-
- TOPIC -----------------------------------------------------------
-
- What is the difference between Ofoto calibration and ColorSync matching?
-
-
- DISCUSSION ------------------------------------------------------
-
- Ofoto provides a closed-loop device-to-device matching, whereas ColorSync
- provides device-independent matching. This means that Ofoto will work as
- long as the scan is printed on the intended device. ColorSync provides the
- best possible results no matter what the eventual device is.
-
- ColorSync is available only for the Macintosh, and there isn't a
- Windows version.
